The pre-move survey

— A free estimate in order to assess the size of your relocation and to submit a detailed quotation for your overseas door-to-door move;

— Our relocation consultant will discuss with you moving schedule and budget, available shipping methods for your relocation, any of your special requirements and answer any additional questions.

Packing and preparation

— We can provide you with all kinds of packing materials, ranging from various-sized boxes to wardrobe boxes, wrapping paper for fragile and other to protect your property while in transit;

— On the moving day, our crew of experienced movers will disassemble the furniture, wrap and pack your belongings.

Shipping procedures

Gil Stauffer can move your consignment by air, road and sea. You can choose from a range of transit options to suit your timescale and budget.

Customs regulations

— We will handle all customs formalities that are necessary to clear your shipment through customs at both ends of your move, our specialist will help you to prepare the documents required for customs clearance;

— We are able to obtain permits from the Ministry of Culture for the export of antiques and cultural items.

Insurance cover

Insurance charges are based on a percentage of the total insured value of your personal belongings and depend on your destination country, the shipping method and will be mentioned in our quotation for your relocation.

When booking your move from/ to Russia through Gil Stauffer, we will supply you with a copy of our insurance form, insurance terms and conditions.

Unpacking and setup

Upon arrival, your furniture will be reassembled, all items will be placed according to your instruction and all spent packing materials will be removed.

Storage of personal belongings and furniture

If your new home isn't ready for occupancy, your household goods may be stored in our warehouse at an additional charge until you're ready to receive them.
